With our time at the Beige Desk or tabling, we plan on educating students about the importance of access to menstrual products, as well as all the barriers around the issue, i.e. cost, access, and accurate information about use of menstrual products. We plan on having posters and informational cards, as well as a petition for out project.

Agriculture Club Meeting
The Ag Club is open to any student who attends Doane. We requested a large room so we can practice social distancing, along with wearing masks. We really want members of the ag club to feel as if they are making decisions on what will be taking place in the meetings, so meeting in person are ideal. This would allow for open discussions between the club leaders, advisor, and members, allowing students to feel more involved at the University. Some of our goals are to provide students with career connections and we are introducing a mentorship program to those who are interested. The mentorship program will be ran by Pete Poppert. We would also like to have speakers (on zoom if required) to allow students to ask questions and make connections.

The Humans
Doane Theatre presents The Humans by Stephen Karam.

Irish-American Erik Blake has brought his wife and his mother for Thanksgiving at the new home of his daughter and her boyfriend. His mother (affectionately referred to as “Momo”) is suffering from Alzheimer’s, and his other daughter Aimee has recently been the victim of a nasty breakup. The parents are disappointed that their daughters have left home to struggle in New York City, and worried that they are abandoning their values.

Filled with equal parts humor and hurt, The Humans tells the story of the quintessential family reunion: a group of people who love each other but still wrestle with basic human fears: old age, abandonment, poverty, and death.
